Questions about the device
What is it?
The Infloow Contact Tracer is a proximity sensor which will detect if a person is engaging with another person within 1.5 meter, 6 feet in the US. If so, a unique code is exchanged between the two devices which accounts for one event. If the two (or more) persons stay in this position for a longer period of time, every 10 seconds a new event will be generated and stored in the devices.
What is the target audience?
The system is targeted towards business use in factories, warehouses, distribution centers, hospitals, offices and the like. The device is not meant to be used by consumers in the public space.
Is it water resistant / waterproof
No, the Infloow Contact Tracer is not waterproof and must be worn under a jacket or other coverage when the worker has activities outside and in the rain.
How big is the device and what is its weight?
The device is 50mm x 35mm x 16mm (LxWxH) and its weight is 21 grams.
(2 x 1.4 x 0.6 inches and 0.7 ounces)

The Infloow Contact Tracer does not make any sound when in contact within 1,5 metres, 6 feet in the US of another Infloow Contact Tracer.
Does it cause radiation or cancer?
The Infloow Contact Trace uses Bluetooth wireless technology which is 2.4Ghz. This is the same frequency as WiFi. These wireless signals are everywhere and there is no scientific data that it can cause cancer.
How does it select the distance and the contact person?
The Infloow Contact Tracer is programmed so that the Bluetooth signal only travels around 1.5 meter, 6 feet in the US. It sends its ID and then listens to the surroundings also in this 1.5-meter, 6 feet in the US range. When a co-worker with a Infloow Contact Tracer is within range, they exchange the unique IDs and these are stored in memory.
Questions about switching on/off
Is the Infloow Contact Tracer activated by default – can you activate/de-activate?
The Infloow Contact Tracer is active when in use (it detects movements) and asleep when not in use.
Can you put the Infloow Contact Tracer back to zero when switching the tool to another person?

In what format does the App export the data?
The App reads the data from a tracer and exports it to an Excel formatted file.
Questions about the signal, network and software
Does the signal interfere with other signals/networks?
The Infloow Contact Tracers are devised to connect to one another with the set distances. There should be no interference with other signals or networks.
What frequency is used? Is it harmful for employees?

This event should be reported immediately to the HR department.
What is the difference with other Contact tracing Apps which are now being developed?
Governments, public and private health companies are working on introducing proximity Apps for the public in order to help safeguard social distancing requirements. The Apps under development also make use of Bluetooth technology to measure distance between two mobile phones. The difference between these Apps and the Infloow Contact Tracer, is that the Apps are linked to the internet and to a central authority which needs to register who is infected and who is not. The Infloow Contact Tracer is a dedicated device with its own battery and will function 24/7. There is no central database. The data is stored in each device and only when a worker becomes infected, will their contact data be exported. This function can only be performed by qualified and certified personnel.
How many Infloow Contact Tracers can one company use?
There are no limitations.
